Our Story
Genuine Videography was started in 2018 under the name Single Six Media with founders Steve Drake and Rachel Franz, who were active in the Bozeman videography scene. Starting with music videos, commercials and real estate videos, Rachel and Steve began testing the waters in the wedding scene. They soon fell in love capturing weddings and began to guide the company to being solely wedding based.
In June of 2021, Genuine Videography was officially born. This brand new company focuses solely on capturing every moment of wedding days. With all the past experience and top of the line equipment, Genuine was very successful in its inaugural season.
This season, Genuine brings exciting new things to the table with new packages and some new faces. Rachel left Genuine to pursue her own career in the wedding industry and Jaelyn Silvey came into the company as co-owner. Having immensely enjoyed working past seasons with Genuine, Jaelyn felt it was the next best thing to run the business alongside Steve, her older brother!
Though there has been change in the evolution of Genuine, the one constant is our company policy: No Moment Missed.
Emma Mills
Videographer
Emma joined the team last season and was an instant fit with Genuine. Her natural eye for light and angles makes every video gorgeous. In her free time she is often found camera in hand, making short films and taking beautiful photos.
Meet the Team
Steve Drake
Owner/Videographer
Steve has been with Genuine since the beginning. He has always had a passion for film and had been fiddling with cameras since he was a little kid. Pursuing this joy, Steve has worked on multiple film projects in addition to capturing many beautiful weddings.
Jaelyn Silvey
Owner/Videographer
Jaelyn comes to Genuine with a large background in theater and business management. She has worked previous seasons as a videographer and fell in love with the art form. A romantic at heart, Jaelyn finds immense joy in being able to create a time capsule of a couples special day.
